Marine exhaust corrosion problem

Is there any process that will stop rusting and corrosion in marine exhaust systems? They have water jackets around the exhaust at the manifold and riser. Finding a solution to this problem would help many boaters. Thanks for your thoughts in advance.

Hi! I just seen your question while I was hunting for mine. I don't know if this will help or not, and I'm not for sure if I do have all the info needed. My uncle is an expert air compressor serviceman and recently I had the job of painting a compressor door which weighed about 1 ton.
He said he had to have all of it sandblasted on the inside before he painted it. He used an epoxy base, and a paint. I guess you would say it was 2 parts.

I know clean up was hectic for me to get it off of myself. But he told me that the main clues for this door was to make sure it was completely sandblasted, and every thing was completely covered with this paint. I had to use a mirror extension on it to make sure I got every nook and corner.

Thanks!
