White layer in gas nitriding
2003
Hi,
I'm a last year student in th University and I need some information for my project. I would like to know which is the effect of the white layer created in gas nitriding of a gear.
Is better to remove it not to cause wear?
And how could I remove?
I think that plasma-nitriding could be a solution, but it is expensive, isn't it?
Thank you
