Restoring tin ceilings with rust spots
Just bought a home with several tin ceilings. I want to keep them and paint them. However, there are several rust holes present, not larger than a half-dollar. What is the best way to fill these in so that the rust does not come through after painting?
Thanks for your help.

I have never seen rust come through oil-base "aluminum paint" but have seen it come through every white "stain kill" paint in the book. Just my personal experience as a homeowner.
