Opening up a Powder Coating Business

I am interested in opening up a powder coating shop for motorcycles and rims, I do not know the first thing about it. I would like some help determining what size shop I would need, supplies and equipment needed, licensing and training info. It would be helpful to know what kind of cost it would take to begin. I appreciate any help that can be given to me. Thanks and have a great day.

I'm not trying to be difficult or unhelpful, Lisa, but have you thought about working for a powder coating shop in some capacity or other for a summer before going into a business that you "do not know the first thing about"? It's very tough times in the finishing industry today -- what competitive advantage do you intend to offer if you don't know the first thing about it? Maybe start with a few books and then come back with questions that are a bit more specific?

Several of the suppliers of powder offer training courses. Good luck.
