Bioremediation of metal contaminated sites
I am working on bioremediation of metal contaminated sites. I require the information about the heavy metals which are present in the industrial waste & causing pollution problem because of their toxicity. I also want to know whether biological treatment of metal polluting industries is previously being used anywhere. Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

What do you mean by "working on"? What metals or other contamination are you removing, generated by what industry, and what technology are you using currently? What problems does it have that you need a new technology? Why do you suspect that you don't know what is contaminating the sites? Thanks.

That is a very very broad subject with a lot of research having been done. I typed bioremediation of metals in the google search engine and got 21,302 hits. Surely one of them will lead you to the information that you seek. Be aware that bioremediation is as slow as glacier movement. One estimate that I saw was 20 years for removal of nickel with a particular weed grown in a very particular manner, cut, burned and nickel profitably recycled from the ash. BUT, who has 20 years? Also note that it required different growing conditions to remove mercury and a different plant for cadmium.
