Specs for federal standard #595 pertaining to water based inks
I have a request to print a 6 mil vinyl for fire extinguishers. The ink spec is Fed Standard # 595-- gray #16187 & Black #17038. I am looking for a copy of the spec that I can print and forward to my ink manufacturer to make sure that we are in compliance. We are a flexographic printer of pressure sensitive labels we use water based inks.

FED-STD-595B COLORS USED IN GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT is strictly hardcopy.
To obtain via mail, set up a DODSSP customer account at http://assist.daps.dla.mil/online/registration/registration.cfm, then place a request via the ASSIST system. Note: this is a paint standard
(although frequently used for dyes and inks).
