Rack stripper formula
Does anybody know of a good, non-proprietary formula for stripping acid copper,tin/lead plating racks? I would like something nitric acid based but stabilized against NOx release.
Thanks,

Various things have been suggested to minimize NOX NH4 e.g., NH4NO3, urea nitrate, sulfamic acid ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] as additives to 50-70% nitric Be careful try in small trial tank first Also try floating a 1 inch layer of thin paraffin oil. This is surprisingly effective.
