Need details on aluminum ADC 12 material corrosion

2003

Hello Gentleman, I am a student of Engineering College. I am interested in knowing the answer for following queries related with aluminum ADC 12 material corrosion.

1. Why the corrosion can happen in aluminum ADC 12 material on casting as well as machined surface.

2. If the black spots are observed on material, whether they are the part of corrosion.

3. Whitish fungus occurs on machined surface because of what.

4. Whether corrosion can occur due to thermocol packing.

5. If component are packed in plastic bag then it can get protected from thermocol moisture problem.

6. Whether raw casting material can contribute corrosion.

7. Whether cutting fluid will affect to material. Regards, Mahendra

Would like to know if You received any information on the same, could you forward details received as I am not able to see any response to the same. I am looking for packing actions to be taken for exporting the component that requires a shelf life of 10 weeks min for the ADC component, evaluating the options between use of VCI pouch, bags and RI 700 rust inhibitor oil. Earliest response would be encouraging.
