Suitability of metal
Can SS-304 metal withstand 5% NaOH solution at 85 deg. cent.? Or if you have compatibility chart for Caustic solution.

The SS 304 will withstand 5 percent NaOH at 85 centigrade.
For more info ask an Engineer friend to let you go thru a copy of Chemical Engineering by Perry for similar data. Libraries carry copies too.
