Tuffcoat electrolytic clearcoat

Has anyone used the Tuffcoat electrolytic clearcoat system offered by Gold Touch [a finishing.com supporting advertiser]?

I'd like to know what your thoughts are on it. It's quite expensive, are there any alternatives for small set-ups?

Several companies sell electrodeposited lacquer. I carried a "gimmie" key chain that Enthone coated in a pocket with loose change for about 4 months. I was shocked at how little damage it had. It is a moderately straight forward process where, like electroplating, cleaning is probably more important than the actual plating.
