1970 Bentwood Rocker - chrome is rusted and pitted

I have an old (1970) Bentwood Rocker and the Chrome is rusted and pitted. I wonder If you have advise on restoration.?

Refinishing pitted parts is a royal pain for a plater, extremely time consuming and you probably only have a few parts. Guess one is no plater will want to rework them. Second guess is that their charge will be more than the rocker cost. You might be able to find a furniture repair shop with good contacts that can help you out. They may want to replace them with new ones out of brass or stainless steel or even have new ones manufactured and chrome plated which could be cheaper than trying to fix pits. Brace yourself for the price.
