Restoration of Cast Iron Church Bell

I have a large cast iron church bell that I would like to restore to the natural iron luster. After using a sand blaster, what do I coat the iron with to protect the iron from rusting?

The natural Iron finish that you mention, Is, rust, Iron oxide, or NATURAL IRON FINISH . On old iron, it starts almost immediately after blasting. Saturating the metal with lanolin after heating with blow torch will stop it getting any worse. Make sure you coat the inside also, as these castings are very porous.

Good Luck,
