Acid deburring
We produce electrical contacts for the Aerospace connector companies. Currently we are deburring and pre-plate burnishing our contacts using synthetic media, soap and water in vibratory bowls. We can't tumble because of the diameter to length ratios and the thin profile of our parts (.019-.130 diameters up to 1.5 inches in length.) I'm looking for a replacement for this mechanical process in possibly acid deburring or some similar chemical process which will help keep my scrap rate down from bending, dents and various problems the mechanical method brings. The material we use are primarily BeCu, Leaded Nickel Copper and 360 brass. Any info would be helpful.
Thanks,

Try electrolytic deburring. The process is very similar to electropolishing and uses the same or similar electrolytes but higher current densities.
