Search for black plating process
1998
We currently use a process called "Electroblack" to produce black deposits on copper, silver, tin, bronze and nickel plated parts for the fashion industry.
We are looking for a replacement for this process that does not contain nickel for the production of nickel-free products. We don't mind cyanide as we have facilities to treat the waste but the process must be free of nickel.
Any suggestions

Hi BOB!
You can use black chrome. It is a very nice finish. We can plate for you some samples.

For copper and brass blackening you can use alkaline solutions with oxidizers, for silver you can use sulfide based products, etc. Just make sure that you do not use selenium based products as they are worse than nickel containing products.
Ask your supplier for blackening products, I am sure he will come up with good recommendations.
