Yellow chromate stripping

We have a large stock of steel enclosure sheet metal that is used in one of our printers. It is all yellow chromate coated, and if my information is correct, this is no longer accepted in Euro countries or Japan. Where can I get an MSDS/toxicity sheet? Is there a specific paragraph and chapter in the EU directives? Finally, is there a way to salvage this sheet metal by stripping it?

John,

The totally elimination of the Cr VI in the covered elements this anticipating for year 2,007, and mainly in all the industry of the automotive. During this period of adaptation, the manufacturers of automotive is beginning to limit the application of Cr VI in new projects and modifying very slowly the present ones. In the rest of the industry the elimination of the Cr VI is almost null except some zones of the north of Europe (Sweden, Denmark, etc),some example is the manufacturer of furniture IKEA. I feel my poor English.

Best regards,
