Nickel free finishing of hardware

We are exporters of leather goods. We often use metal fittings like buckles, rings, buttons, etc. Now it is a must that all fittings to be nickel free plated. What does this mean? How to tell the plater to do the plating nickel free? Finishes ranges from Antique brass, bright silver, antique silver, gun metal finish etc.

Mr Sridharan

White Bright Bronze undercoat replaces Nickel and accepts Gold , Silver, or Brass. It is accepted in Europe and USA as Nickel Free because it does not cause Nickel Itch that led to the ban on Ni undercoats.
