Coloring of stainless steel
I'm a knife making hobbyist. I have seen some of the knife makers use stainless steel fittings (not blades) with a dark blue-green colour on their knives. How does one achieve this dark blue-green coulor?

Blue colour for iron and steel: copper nitrate ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] ...50 gm manganese nitrate...50 gm water 1 lit Hot immersion (50 °C,only grease and oxide free objects can be treated)! You can take up to 75 gm manganese nitrate !
