Removing Magnetism in Stainless 304 Grade Fasteners




The Stainless Steel being non-magnetic but after Cold Working as residual magnetism is developed, please suggest how to remove this residual magnetism in the finished product. The finished product are mainly Stainless Steel 304 Grade Fasteners.

You can anneal them in reducing or inert atmosphere .. but you will lose some mechanical properties due to annealing.. or you can try some conventional demagnetizers .. (electromagnetic coil).. but I am not sure about the effectiveness .. Good luck
