Small electrorefining equipment for gold

Q. I intend to install a pawn shop, in order to buy gold at a good price. But my real idea was refining that gold. How I can do the refining, in a not expensive way? Is it really so complicated to make my own electrolysis equipment? or Where can I buy it, no high cost equipment, for processing a 2000 grams/day of gold scrap jewelry ?

A. Hi Marcos. You are certainly welcome to try to do what you wish. There are simple electrolytic cells from companies like Shor International that you can buy or perhaps attempt to duplicate (I don't know the patent situation). But I think that you will find that there is a lot more to gold refining than simple gold plating. But you might wish to review a few of our many long threads on this topic, by plugging "gold refining" into the google custom search engine near the top left corner of the page. Good luck.

Hi Luis. Sorry but we currently only do postings in English. Apologies.
