Chrome-free coatings
I am looking for a "chrome-free" alternative to yellow chromate conversion coating. We fabricate low-carbon and medium-carbon steel parts that are zinc-nickel plated and have a chromate conversion coating for enhanced corrosion resistance against water and humidity. Also, is there a "risk" when handling such parts, or is the environmental hazard restricted to the chemical processing that occurs at the plater?

Chip, is very important the color of the covering? Can you to finish the pieces in white or black color, eliminating the yellow color? Tell me something about this.
