EDP Process

Q. I am looking for an explanation for EDP Process (some kind of electrical coating process) for the aluminium material. What is the differences between this process and powder coating?

A. Electro Deposited Paint also called Electrocoat is probably what you are looking for. The chemicals are mixed in a water bath.

The component is made anodic in the anodic process and cathode in the cathodic process (CED).

On passage of current the coating is deposited on the component. It is cured in an oven.

A. Hi Sony. The process is also called electropainting, e-coating, or cathodic electrodeposition. Some advantages compared to powder coating include the ability to do extremely thin coatings, and the ability to get 100% coverage because the deposited paint is insulating, which keeps the current steered towards any uncoated area.
