About Nickel Anodes and Cathodes
2003
Hi,
I am a purchasing officer and now I am participating in a project of purchasing Nickel Anodes. But I feel very confused about it. Because I don't know whether Nickel Anode and Nickel Cathode are same material or not? Do they have different application?
Thank you very much!

I don't know the exact context here, for example whether you are purchasing the anodes for an electroplating system or some other operation, so my answer might not be right. But nickel anodes are used as the source of the nickel that is applied in nickel plating operations; and they in turn are manufactured by a refining process wherein they are the cathode. So they are nickel cathodes when they are made, and they become nickel anodes when they are used. So my suspicion is that they are the same thing.
