Tanks for home anodising

Home Anodising:

Looking for containers for home anodising. I've heard that a glass container within a plastic container is good as the acid will not attack the glass and the plastic is there in case of accident with the glass. I am however tempted to buy 2 cheap plastic bins and try that - can anyone untempt me on safety grounds ? Any help much appreciated.

Some plastics like PVC, polyethylene, and polypropylene would be okay. Some other plastics will dissolve in the acid. I hope this doesn't untempt you though, as there are numerous safety hazards in anodizing.

Look at it this way: if you went to work for an anodizing shop and they did not start by intensively training you in safety and personal protection, you would probably call a government hotline and scream bloody murder. But you'd bring these materials into your own home and use them without training?
