Conductive coating options for aluminum
We sell a low volume product that has a small machined aluminum housing (6061-T6) with a screwed-down aluminum cover. The standard product is black anodized. Units can be special ordered with yellow chromate housings/covers. The yellow chromate provides better EMI performance due to its electrical conductivity. What other coating options should I consider that would continue to provide good electrical conductivity and yet increase my color options? Alternate coatings would need to be robust in humid or salt fog environments.

You can contact most of the larger chromate suppliers in the country, they have various color dyes that will change the color of the chromate. Instead of yellow I believe your base chromate has to be clear though. Obviously you'd get odd colors mixing yellow with red (orange) or yellow with blue (green). But essentially what you are looking to do is possible with what you have already + a chromate dye.
