PRIMER ON CEMENT STATUARY

DO WE NEED TO PUT SOME KIND OF PRIMER ON CEMENT STATUARY BEFORE WE PAINT. BECAUSE THE ONES I HAVE PAINTED WITH ACRYLIC PAINT , IT EVENTUALLY COMES OFF.

First, you need to find a paint that is specifically designed for concrete patios. There are single component paints that will do nicely if there is not excessive wear as on a garage floor where the wheels will be cornering. There are superior, two part polyurethane paints, for heavy wear that are fantastic. Yup, a lot more expensive and a lot harder to properly put down.

Finally, before paint, you need to etch the concrete with acid, rinse it extremely well and dry it very well and then paint.

My husband and I just scraped and painted a base for our fountain what do we use to seal it safely for bird and animals drink from it?
