Rust preventive for I.D. of nickel plated steel tubing

We would like to put a rust preventive coating inside a Nickel plated flashlight tube of diameter 38 mm and length up to 180mm. Material is steel. The coating should not affect the finish of Nickel plating on top of the tube. We would prefer a dipping process for applying this rust preventive coating. Could you please help us regarding the chemicals and process.

Thank you.

Hello, Mukhtar.

It is not unusual to phosphatize the inside of tubes after plating the outside. Good luck.
