Is spray painting my wheels chrome a good idea?

I have an antique car that I think would look beautiful riding on a set of chrome wheels. What I was wondering though before I spend money on some is this, Is it possible to get a good look just by spray painting my current wheels chrome? What is the best way to do it? Any help would be greatly appreciated and just to let you know I am a total amateur at this.

Thanks,

That would be a waste of time and money. It would look really cheap. Your best bet is to find a gold and chrome plating company and pay for them to put a real chrome plate over them.
