Not sure what kind of wheel I should get, based on material it's made from
Q. I was wondering, I am looking at purchasing a set of 20 inch rims for my truck. I have dealt chrome on other things such as my exhaust tips and they rusted and corroded pretty quick. What should I get...chrome wheels or aluminum or polished or what?
Thanks a bunch,

And the chrome bumpers on your truck--did they rust quickly as well? No. Huh. Chrome plating is not the problem, the quality of the job is the problem. If you like the look of chrome plating, that's what you should get; if you prefer the look of polished aluminum, go with that.

It won't matter what you decide to go with. If you don't look after your brightwork, it won't remain bright for long. A weekly wash with warm water and a mild detergent , followed by a thorough waxing will preserve and protect your investment either way. Hot rodders have been doing it this way for years!
