Problem polishing small pieces

I have a problem polishing some small pieces that I use as molds in a die casting machine. These ones are very small, about 1 inch diameter, and in its surface we grab very small letters of about 2 millimeters of high. These ones are tridimensional. I am using sand blasting, but I am having a lot of problem because sometimes the small letters look bad. I need help.

Abrasive blast methods will not produce a smooth finish. You need a mechanical surface treatment method. Normally the fastest and cheapest is done with mass finishing equipment and in this case treated dry organic media.

Are you really using sand or glass bead blasting? Where do you need the polishing and how fine is the surface finish? Do you want mirror? Inside the letters too? What is your substrate material, tool steel? We need more info to give you some hints. G. Marrufo-Mexico
