Electroless Nickel and Immersion Gold Plating of Brass
I am using an emersion gold process to plate over electroless nickel. Occasionally we will produce gold plating slightly off in colour. Instead of being a yellow it will be a bronze colour. Is this from contaminants or something else?

Have you tried to measure thickness of your nickel layer, I have seen bronze coloured gold on electroless nickel caused by too thin nickel.
