Coating for Aluminum Forming Tool to Eliminate the Residue
2003
Hello!
I'm designing the bending machine for disk-drive product. The bending concept is punching not folding. After the prototype completed, I found the problem that the residue from material left on the forming punch for long term production. The material is Aluminum. The forming punches and dies are SKD-11 steel and SST440C. Now we are thinking about punch and die coating. So which coating should I use to eliminate this problem? Please advise.
Thank you. Regards,
