Lacquering brass
We have plated company logo's for a customer of ours and they are plated brass. How do we put a nice, clean coat of lacquer on them to keep them from tarnishing? Does lacquer dry to a ripply look or smooth?

Thick lacquers dry with a ripply look. Multiple coats of thin lacquers dry smooth.

Hello Leslie, If you don't have spraying equipment, a can of aerosol clear lacquer should do the job. If the coating doesn't dry to a smooth finish, try different ways of spraying the part. You'll get the feel for it after a little practice. If it still dries ripply, get yourself some good lacquer. Good luck.
