Need a Patclin Chemicals product
Need a strip for silver braze
Q. We have a small diamond tool industry and sometimes we have the need to strip silver braze off tools. We in the past have bought a strip from Patclin Chemical in Yonkers NY [ed. note: now Accu-Labs, Inc. [a finishing.com supporting advertiser]], but we can't find this company anymore. In 1998 they had a small fire, which may have put them out of business. My question is, did they sell their formulas to someone? And if so, who? Someone out there must have access to these formulas but how do I find out who? The mixture known as Patstrip is the one we are most interested in at the moment. I hope you can help me, I have spent hours on the web looking for answers, and so far have come up with nothing.
Thanks,

Q. I am in need of a lacquer stripper with a similar formulation to what Patclin 689 produced. Is there any help out there?
