Purification of alumina

Please, can anyone help me with the purification of alumina. If you don't mind can you break it down in terms so that a high school student can understand.

Hi Kordero,

Alumina is produced from an ore called bauxite. The process isn't really metal finishing, and I think it best that you find the answer yourself. Search the Internet for processing or purification of bauxite.
