Iron bedstead restoration

I have an old iron bedstead that is very rusty. I have been sanding the iron down with a hand held sander and a Dremel this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] tool. The result is a pretty silver finish with a little rust and paint left in some of the crevices. I find the silver appearance with some of the rust left to be very appealing. I want to know if there is a sealer that I can put on the iron bedstead without priming or painting that will seal the iron so it will not rust or get on my linens. HELP.

Thanks,
