Silicon Carbide Coating

I am interested in buying equipment and chemicals for plating nickel silicon carbide coating in the cylinder liners. I also want to know what kind of changes are required to be done on present nickel chrome plating process.

Dear Mr Aamir,

I'm a plating engineer working in a cylinder plating shop. We plate aluminium (98%) and cast iron (2%) cylinders with a Nickel-Silicon carbide layer. I'll be glad to help you but please be more specific about what you want to know and what kind of cylinders you're going to plate.

Kind regards,

I need to know if you can coat a thin layer of Silicon Carbide onto a thin sheet of Copper?

If such process exist, please let me know the cost associated with it (high/low), any constraints.

Please email me.

Thanks, Jake.
