Gauling of Polycarbonate

I am developing a polycarbonate storage device for CDs and am concerned about galling or material transfer. Given that a single CD will only be placed into and removed from the holder several times in total, is material transfer a reasonable concern? Are there certain polycarbonates that would not interact with the polycarbonate used for the manufacture of CDs?

First of two simultaneous responses --

Joseph,

The playing side from a CD is protected with a coating. I think there is no galling possible.

Joseph,

All I can say is HOLY COW ! I am very sure that you'd never have a problem with galling and this should not be a moot consideration, I think.

One does have a minor problem with glass bottles all banging together on a conveyor system ... but they just used a spray to prevent ultra minor scratching (Stannic Chloride?) but there they had a force and a weight.

Thou dost worry too much, methinks ! Worry not!
