Preparation for Color Anodizing
My inquiry is of the hobbyist nature, so please bear with my layman's vocabulary. I am interested in having a set of motorcycle rims anodizing in the color orange. Currently they appear to have been painted blue, which I can strip chemically. However, once having performed the paint stripping, my concern is how to best prepare the rims for the anodizing process. What additional preparations should I take to ensure the best possible results? Thanks for your input.
Have a great day.

Assuming you are contracting out the anodizing, the wheels probably require no further prep because the anodizing shops must clean, etch, and desmut them anyway. Finding a shop that has the orange dye you seek may be hard though.
