Temperature effects on the oxidation of metals

We are doing a project to show the affect of temperature on the oxidation rate of different metals. Do you have any suggestions on what metals to use, so that we can measure an appreciable oxidation in a relatively short period of time?

First of two simultaneous responses --

Most metals will oxidize quickly. Aluminum, lead, steel are three readily available ones. Cut a section of the metal, or sand the surface with sandpaper and you should see changes very quickly.

Second of two simultaneous responses --

Iron would produce a good rate of oxidation. also blue steel (steel that has yet to pickled).

Stephen, did you find any information about temperature effects on rate of oxidation? I need the same information but could find any.

Thanks,

I have been trying to find the material of thermal rate of oxidation. Stephen if you have found any, could you pass on the reference.
