Waste treatment of tin rinses

I'm interested in waste treatment optimization of tin rinses from methane sulfonic acid systems. With the fast approaching elimination of lead, tin plating rinses will be an opportunity to recover the tin for recycle or reuse as cost effectively and environmentally as possible. Anyone have any suggestions or new technologies to achieve this goal?

I like your intentions to recycle the tin, but it will be more difficult than it first appears. If the plating bath is near ambient temperature, then the amount of evaporation as compared to the dragout may be too small for most recovery schemes. However, I have seen people use drag-in/dragout rinses, and use vacuum evaporation for recovery.

Also, if there is a pre-dip of MSA, this can be purified rather than dumped by a variety of methods, including diffusion dialysis, and electrolysis.
