Attributes of 'bright blue passivates'?
I am looking for some information on 'Bright Blue Passivates'. We currently employ a trivalent blue passivate but have been asked to provide a bright blue passivate. I seem to recall approx. 10 years ago using a hexavalent bright blue passivate which produced better surface conductivity but I can't be sure if this was its only benefit. What I am looking for is the benefits of 'bright blue passivates' over ordinary trivalent blue passivates. If anybody could assist I would be grateful.

Add some blue dye to the Tri-Valent Chromate and the coating will be bluer.

Blue bright passivate is just another nomenclature for blue chromate (passivate) be it hexavalent or trivalent. this is also the same as "clear" chrome. Confusing ain't it.
