White Dry Transfer Type lettering for Black Plastic

Hello everyone,

I'll try to be as brief as possible in what I'm looking for. I need to letter function names to a top control housing cover of an old Grundig Satellit 210 radio I'm in the process of restoring. From what's left of the faded out letters it looks like it might of been done with some sort of heat transfer method because I can see what looks like a slight depression into the surface of the plastic.

Problem: the control housing is black plastic. All the dry transfer lettering that is either left or available by various arts and crafts supply places is black and of course, I need white. If this type of make-over has been attempted by anyone out there, can you make a suggestion to what method would best give me the required results. Can it be done by Silk Screening, or some form of photo-emulsion that can then be used as a template to allow ink or paint to flow through yet block anything else from bleeding through unto the plastic.

Any leads or constructive comments would most greatly be appreciated.

Thank you,

Jose, check a few more stores. I have found the white dry transfer sheets of lettering at a local art store here. They come in the same styles of type as the black ones. I can't give you the name on the lettering because they are at my shop and I'm not.

Good luck, the project looks good.
