Bichromate on brass
2003
We currently machine some brass pressure gauge components. The OEM has specified a BICHROMATE finish for the brass products.
We have not had good results from our plating source as we get some splotches and tiny brown spots on the parts.
Our customer is open to different processes other than the BICHROMATE that is currently specified.
The customer requires:
1) The brass color finish on the part
2) Tarnish resistance over time.
Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
