Weathering and Aging Aluminum and Brass
Hello, folks.
I just want to say that I enjoy this site, and all your input. I would like to know the best and fastest way to corrode and pit aluminum. I see that salt will help? And what about tarnishing brass to give it a nice blue or green patina?
Thanks so much,

Your question about corroding and pitting aluminum is abstract and therefore difficult to answer. But if you are simply trying to make it look ugly--and it's your property :-) --oven cleaner ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] will strip any anodizing and many paints, and the corneas off your eyeballs if you're not careful enough, and should wreck it quickly.
