Steel supports, stainless pipes
I have installed stainless steel pipe with carbon steel hangers. The engineers are suggesting there might be a problem please advise what problems may arise.

I have seen stainless steel pipes supported with steel pipe clamps even in an environment as conductive as a wet plating shop without disaster, so the sky is not necessarily falling. But, certainly, you have the potential for galvanic corrosion of the steel if the arrangement will be subject to moisture.

I have seen this done by putting a non-conductive sheet (Teflon?)between the pipe and the hanger. This will prevent any possibility of getting a galvanic corrosion problem.
