Pure titanium mesh woven sheets wanted

Titanium mesh sheets. -commercially pure titanium only. -about 1/2 ft X 1/2 ft rect shaped X .008 dia. wire, which is capable of being drilled through. I am a dentist desiring to help my patients in new ways. Currently, in dentistry, titanium is successfully used in many areas of clinical practice. I am interested in using it to stabilize bone grafts, which are created by making space and an environment suitable for bone growth beneath the gum tissues by using titanium mesh and special membranes. A certain part of this procedure is a new idea, currently unavailable from my usual sources. By using these, I believe the surgeries my patients must go through to get their actual tooth implants will be less traumatic and time-consuming, and therefore my patients get their teeth sooner and have less pain. Not only will it help my patients achieve their goals sooner--it will also be less costly to them. Because of these factors, I hope to reduce the cost, so that more people will be able to get dental implants. There is much unnecessary suffering which I hope can be prevented in this way.

The product is commercially unavailable. Your mesh woven sheets made of titanium Cr.1 (commercially pure Ti) could be produced but the quantity should be high enough. The more simple way is to get titanium "felt", consisting of titanium wires of the thickness needed.

You may want to consider using existing titanium mesh products designed for craniofacial surgery. For example, CYTOFLEX mesh is available from Unicare Biomedical. There are a number of other suppliers.

Hi, Ellen. We'll try to notify Mr. Igolkin that there are followup questions. We apologize but this site for camaraderie & technical discussions and public contact only -- not commercial contact. Plus, it's made possible by the generosity of our supporting advertisers who couldn't possibly support it if we spent their money steering the readers to non-advertisers :-)   Sorry!

Regards,

If you are still searching for sheets of Titanium Wire Mesh in sheets, you are going to have to go to a Wire Cloth Manufacturer such as Belleville Wire Cloth
