Stripping Nickel from MOLYBDENUM

I currently have a situation where I need to remove nickel plating from a molybdenum part. Due to the nature of the part "critical", I need to make sure my stripping methods won't damage the base material. The analytical tests show the material to be 99.95% +, Mo, with trace elements of Pb, Mg,Ca, Cr, Ni, Sn, Mn, Fe, Ti and C. Whats the best method for stripping?

Try a 50/50 KOH (49%) bath, followed by 120 grit bead blast if you need it.
