Anodize finish remover

I'm looking for a product to remove the anodize finish off of the aluminum on my Eagle bus so that it can be polished to a mirror finish. Does anyone have anything that will work. I have tried several products with no success. I have heard or a product that worked very well but when I contacted the distributor he informed me that the company did not make it any more. Any ideas.

The only material I'm aware appropriate for D-I-Y use is a material called, "Blue Lightning." It's water rinse stabilized.

If you intend on sealing the polished/buffed surface with carnauba wax, be aware that, regardless of product claims, the best carnuba waxes last about as long as a $20-dollar bill on a busy sidewalk. However, they will indeed seal for the 4-6 weeks or so they remain on the surface.

I hate to keep mentioning this stuff, but I truly no of nothing similar: You can buy a sealer in bulk that was developed by Boeing called, Boeshield T9 this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] . It's a spray on, wipe off product that's an ultra-penetrant to both aluminum and ferrous alloy substrates. It provides a "wet-look" that mysteriously stays for 6-9 months, depending on coastal vs inland use. You can imagine what a "wet-look" shine does to a surface already polished to a mirror luster.

I hope I don't have to drive in front or behind you in bright sunlight.

Hope this helps, Greybeard
