Electric Arc Furnace Water Panels

Is there any known materials that can be bonded to steel tubing, sch 160. This material must be able to withstand temperatures around 15,000 degrees f. This is for an application on an electric arc furnace roof water cooled panel. We are arcing the leading edge pipe to the point that we develop water leaks.

Thanks,

To your panel problem: Improve the foamy slag operation and the problem should go away. If not, than I would recommend to use copper panels with the proper water flow rates. That certainly solves your panel problem. You may also check your regulation system!

kindly check following things
1.ensure all the panels are earthed using copper flexible to the bottom shell and to the earth pit.
2.ensure that the resistance of earth pit is .1 ohm max.
3.install carbon injection at all the hotspot locations of furnace.

I would like to know why does a panel get arced leading to water leakage.
how can we avoid occurrence of such an event to increase the productivity or availability of EAF.
