Many spots in electro polishing process before anodizing
2002
We have a great difficulty in anodizing process.
1: many spot on the surface when electro polishing (major problems).
2: Rainbow after anodizing, even for longer times.
3: Losing brightness when anodizing.
This are some problem we have for long times. The sheets we are using
(1070 - 99.7%). Our reflectors are done by spinning. Before anodizing, we hand polish it in soft wheel with green wax. We use alloy or titanium hooks to hang the reflectors, then in ther polish. We dip in the solution for 30 seconds to wash the wax, and then hook on electro. That helps less spots but doesn't stop it.
Many thanks for your reply

Agitation is very important.

You need to go back to the basics of anodizing. Improper settings of anodizing bath parameters can cause the kinds of problems you mentioned. Agitation is also a must.
